The extinction of rare animals is a major ecological problem. Currently, from 10 to 17% of wildlife species are threatened with extinction. Restoration of rare animal species is one of the important directions of the national project "Ecology". It focuses on unique animals, which are on the verge of extinction due to anthropogenic influence and global environmental changes. What is the concept of preserving rare animal species in Russia? How can instruments for preserving rare species of animals be used most effectively within the framework of inter-regional cooperation? What actions have been taken to restore and reintroduce the snow leopard and golden eagle?
