Delhi Mass Rapid Transport System Project (Phase 4) (1)

The project aims to cope with the increasing traffic demand
by developing 3 new lines in Delhi.
Expected outcomes are mitigation of traffic pollution, relief
of traffic congestion, convenience in travel times, regional
economic development and women empowerment.
• Since 1997, JICA has been supporting the development of
the entire Delhi Metro System. Other major cities including
Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad
have followed similar paths with the support from JICA.
