We use the definite article "the" with: well-known buildings the Empire State Building organisations The United Nation hotels, pubs and restaurants: The Ritz, the King's Head We do not use the definite article if the name of the hotel or restaurant is the name of the owner: Brown's Hotel, Morel's Restaurant We use no article with: parks Gorky Park, Central Park, Hyde Park, Yellowstone National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Grand Canyon National Park; Disney World, Disneyland, Europa Park; squares Saint Peter's Square, Red Square, Trafalgar Square, Times Square, Union Square, Harvard Square. But: the Cathedral Square.
