Capital Investment
We made capital investments with a focus on safe and stable transportation,
improvement of station services, reduction in maintenance cost, increase in profitability and
other tasks. The total amount of capital investment during the fiscal year under review was
¥554.7 billion. Major investments are as described below:

- Installation of automatic platform gates (7 stations)
- Construction to prepare for large-scale earthquakes
(reinforcement of approximately 1,000 pillars of the elevated railway
tracks, etc.)
