2ND ECOWAS IIW
THE CITY OF LAGOS
The Eiffel Tower is a symbol of Paris, capital of France. The Statue of Liberty denotes New York.
Everybody knows that Trafalgar Square represents London. In Nigeria, the Aro Meta, a white
granite sculpture of three Lagos white-cap chiefs is synonymous with Lagos, the former capital
of Nigeria and the nation's commercial hub. Lagos State is the administrative division of Nigeria,
located in the southwestern part of the country. The smallest in area of Nigeria's states, it is
unarguably the most economically important state of the country's economy and the nation's
largest urban area. The actual population total is disputed between the official Nigerian Census
of 2006, and her hand remain ever open to welcome to continually increasing number of
visitors who throng the city daily either for its commerce or tourism attractions.
