Viktor
Potapov
Honoured Teacher of the Republic of
Sakha (Yakutia) and the Russian Federation;
- Physics Jury member since 2007;
- Physics olympiad trainer since 1994;
- Currently I am a physics teacher at the
Republican Lyceum Boarding School;
- I remember the first Olympiad teachers Anatoly
Trubachev and Vladimir Shelest from Novosibirsk,
and Ivan logolevich from Chelyabinsk who worked
hard to help us and to teach our schoolchildren.
There were Vitaly Vavilov, Roman Alferov and
Dr. Vyacheslav Muraviev, former students of Moscow
Institute of Physics and Technology and international
olympiad participants. Dr. Vyacheslav Muraviev used
to say that he would become a Nobel Prize winner
one day and that his students would be proud of
him. Now, he is a Candidate of Science in Physics
and Mathematics, a scientist, and an almost Nobel
Prize winner because he is already a winner of the
Russian Presidential Prize in Science and Innovation
for Young Scientists;
- I think that the veterans of the Jury should
give way to the younger generation and that the
Olympiad should become part of the International
Science Games.
