Bolshoi Tkhach Mountain
That's where the Peredovoy (Fore) Range starts.
It's located on the border of the Mostovsky Dis-
trict of the Krasnodar Region and the Republic
of Adygeya. The height is 2,368 m. It's a typical
cuesta with a mild grassy northern slope and rocky
walls in the South and in the West. From the South
the Bolshoi Tkhach Mountain resembles a medi-
eval Gothic castle. Residents of the Dakhovskaya
stanitsa (Sakhray settlement) call it the Bald Moun-
tain. 'Tkhach' means 'god' in Adygei.
Otradnensky District
Valley of the Urup River
According to a geologist, the valley of the Urup
River is a honey pot with reserves of limestone,
gypsum, shell gravel, sandstone; where oil, natural
gas, rock salt, outflows of mineral and sulfurous wa-
ters, as well as therapeutic muds have been found.
Exotic horse riding tours can be arranged to visit
the medieval Ilyichevskoye settlement, as well as
2-3 day-long cycling and motor trips with visits
to interesting natural sites: the First Window and
the Second Window Rocks, the Baranakh Mountain,
the Urup Canyon with multiple caves and a crag

the Rogozhinskoye Lake and the Black Lake. These
sites can be of interest for fans of technical sports
as well, since the intersected country provides an

Primorsko-Akhtarsky District
Local History Museum
The building of the museum was built by Malyshev,
a merchant of the early 20th century (roughly 1913)
to be used for grain storage. There were warehous-
es and a mill in the yard; gates were used to let
freight vehicles in (horse wagons in particular, since
a staple for horses to be hitched has remained on
the right side). Today the Local History Museum
features extensive compositions that tell visitors
the story of the Primorsko-Akhtarsky District.
Indian Lotus Plantation
There are two plantations of Indian lotuses on the
territory of the Primorsko-Akhtarsky District. Exotic
flowers delight the locals and tourists every year. They
came into blossom in 1952 for the first time. A small
plantation is situated within a few kilometres to the
North from the city, in the Sadki Reserve, and the
second large plantation in the Zamaraikun Liman.
Temryuksky District
Blue Beam Volcano
The volcano is situated 10 km from the Golubitska-
ya stanitsa, in the Za Rodinu settlement. Mud vol-
canos are a landmark of the Taman Peninsula. The
Blue Beam Volcano is a small mud lake people im-
merse themselves to improve their health. There's
a shower, dressing rooms and a cafe on the coast
of the Sea of Azov nearby.
Rotten Mountain Volcano (Hephaestus)
It's a whole chain of mud volcanos on the Rotten
Mountain on the outskirts of Temryuk. The height
of some volcanos reaches 3 meters. The mud cures
neurological diseases, radiculitis, etc. After a dip in
the mud basin or a mud lake one can get a tangi-
ble cosmetic effect. There's a cafe, parking and a
shower at the bottom of the mountain. The volca-
no is situated on the way out of Temryuk towards
Slavyansk-on-Kuban.
Flowers of lotuses are incredibly beautiful, they rise
higher than leaves on their thin stems. The season
ends at the end of August. Every flower can blossom
no more than 4 days. Amazing flowers come into
blossom at first light and during the day as by
magic; they change their colour several times from
purple to pale pink shades.
Yasenskaya Spit
-
Yasenskaya Spit is a sand spit located on the
eastern coast of the Sea of Azov, between the
Yasensky Bay and the Beisug Liman. It starts to
the North of Morozovsky Khutor and reaches out
to the Yasenskaya Crossing. The Yasenskaya Spit
is 14 km of unique sand beaches that are notable
for their natural cleanness, shallow depths of the
sea which is convenient for people with children, so
they attract multiple fans of camping.
Ataman Exhibition Complex
The ethnic and cultural complex is spread out on
the outskirts of the Taman stanitsa. The area of
20 ha comprises peasant houses of a blacksmith,
a shoemaker, and a winemaker, as well as a mill, a
chapel, a victualling house, watchtowers and even
a Cossack fire station. Here one can witness how
the Cossacks who moved to Kuban more than 200
years ago used to live.
Golubitskoye Mud Lake
The size of the lake is 100 x 150 m, its depth is
about 1 m. The bottom of the lake is covered with
a therapeutic mud containing a great amount of
hydrogen sulphide, bromine and iodine. It is highly
appreciated in health centres of Taman and Ana-
pa. After dipping yourself in the lake you can then
wash off the therapeutic mud in the sea.
Lotus Valley
These wonderful flowers first shipped from India
can be seen near the Strelka settlement. Next
to the oak grove, there's Kazachy Erik, a shallow
channel with motorboats on watch in summer to
deliver tourists to the place where lotuses bloom
in the Akhtanizovsky Liman.
