8.6 RUSSIA ISLAMIC WORLD: COOPERATION IN SHIPBUILDING

Shipbuilding is one of the priority areas of Russia's technological sovereignty projects. Krylov State Scientific
Centre (KSCC) is the largest integrated scientific organization of Russia in shipbuilding, shipbuilding, and marine
engineering, providing design and construction of Russian naval and civilian fleet and offshore structures for
the exploration and production of mineral resources on the sea shelf. KSCC carries out scientific and technical
activity in the field of hydrodynamics, energetics, and acoustics, in the sphere of design of ships and vessels. It
is one of the leading companies in the international market for model ice testing of offshore structures. The
Centre has a truly unique complex for researching the characteristics of ships, marine equipment, and vessels.
KSCC develops cooperation in creating electric propulsion systems for ships, designing propulsion systems of
various types, performing calculations and model tests using its unique experimental equipment in the field of
