The integration of contractors operating in
our units - HPP São Simão and wind farms
-is marked by the presentation of an
educational video that discusses the main
commitments and conduct requirements of
SPIC Brasil, in addition to the most relevant
topics of the Integrity Program. In 2022,
557 employees received such training.
Also this year we held our 1st Integrity
Workshop for Third Parties. Covering
topics related to integrity and health and
safety, the training was supported by our
integrity ambassadors and involved a total
of 20 companies.
We have also implemented a new Partner
Due Diligence Policy, coordinated by
Risk and Compliance. This policy aims
to prevent the company from dealing
with businesses that have a tarnished
background or have engaged in unethical
conduct, which could pose potential
reputational risks to our brand. The
document is governed by the Code of
Conduct and Ethics for Third Parties, and
by Brazilian laws, with emphasis on the
Anti-Corruption Law, LGPD, labor laws,
protection against child and/or slave labor,
and other regulations.
Guided by these principles and during the
analysis carried out using a specialized
third-party diligence tool provided by
KPMG, we evaluated issues such as
checking registration on lists of work
similar to slave and/or child labor. In 2022,
these points were not raised in the Hazards
and Risks matrix as a significant/existing
risk for our operations. GRI 408-1, 409-1
571 diligences were carried out during
the year, of which 338 were analyzed
and classified as high risk. For this
implementation, we administered training
to our employees and leaders. By 2025, our
goal is to reach to have 70% of the supplier
and contractor chain assessed. By 2030,
we aim to achieve 100%. GRI 3-3
In 2023, we plan to develop advance ESG-
based supplier evaluation and, as a form
of incentive, reward partners with the
best reputation.
