Removal of Dust and Fumes If a process results in the giving off of dust and fumes to such an extent that it may be injurious or offensive, where practicable, exhaust appliances shall be provided and maintained as near as possible to the point of origin of the dust or fumes so as to prevent contamination of the air. Where steam is discharged into a room where persons are normally required to work, effective steps shall be taken to dissipate the steam from that room.
