IF You Want To Go To Yangshuo Or Guilin Yangshuo deserves at least 1-2 full days for its countryside scenery and many interesting outdoor activities. If time permits, you can also add a day trip to Longji on arrival in Guilin. I agree with others who say 5 or 6 days is too long for Shanghai. 3 days would be ample to see pretty much all the city has to offer.
