CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65: KEY TAKE-AWAYS Proposition 65 presents a number of challenges for the cleaning products industry. Proposition 65 shifts the burden of protecting public health from government to industry for exposures to listed chemicals in excess of allowed risk-based limits. Under Proposition 65, a scientifically-defensible exposure/risk assessment is critical for product defense.
