1 The Slovakian economy is forecasted to grow despite the war
in Ukraine
While Russia's aggression in Ukraine has given rise to challenges for Slovakia's
economy, the country is forecasted to nevertheless achieve positive
economic growth in the coming years
2 Slovakia has reduced its dependency on Russian energy imports
Since the inception of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Slovak Republic
has reduced its energy dependence on Russia dramatically
The share of energy imports from Russia has declined to roughly 43% from 70%
at the beginning of 2022
