Organizer: The National Technology Initiative Platform (NTI Platform), ROBBO JSC.
The idea of using the principle of open technologies (Open Source) allows for the development of a whole
system of necessary services and products that do not depend on external control. The Open-Source
approach helps to eliminate risks for the information infrastructure of the education system. Russian company
ROBBO develops software and hardware for robotics education based on the principles of open licensing and
free software. Anyone can use ROBBO devices, modify them and create their own courses. It is also possible
to create a separate social business based on Open Source, to help public education systems and private
classes. To popularize this approach among children, ROBBO holds various competitions and contests, using
them as a tool to attract attention to the study of open technology. How does the open technology principle
work? What services and products can be developed with its help? How can Open Source be used in the
education system and public administration?
