Loan assets are reported on a funded balance sheet basis and therefore exclude certain items such as assets that are funded by third party debt with no recourse to Macquarie beyond the borrowing entity. In addition, loan assets per the statutory balance sheet of $A94.1b at 31 Mar 20 ($A84.2b at 30 Sep 19 and $A77.8b at 31 Mar 19) are adjusted to include fundable assets not classified as loans on a statutory basis (e.g. assets subject to operating leases which are recorded in Property, Plant and Equipment in the statutory balance sheet). 2. Home loans per the funded balance sheet of $A43.2b differs from the figure disclosed on slide 18 of $A52.1b. The funded balance sheet nets down loans and funding liabilities of non-recourse securitisation and warehouse vehicles (PUMA RMBS and SMART auto ABS) to show the net funding requirement. 3. Movement includes the sale of Macquarie AirFinance to a joint venture. 4. Total loan assets per funded balance sheet includes self-securitised assets. 47
