There is a National Consultant for CARD in Sierra Leone to facilitate the implementation of the mid-year stake holders meeting proposed for July 2010. ■ Preliminary results reveal significant gaps in funding for value chain activities. ■ Key stakeholder groups to be included in the Task Force Committee Implementation Strategy MAFFS, Researchers, NGO'S, Farmers Associations, Farmers Based Organizations ETC ■NRDS to be updated and mainstreamed into the Ministry's programming ■Document already developed ready for mainstreaming in to the ministry's Programme ■Strategies should be geared to increasing volumes of rice production ■ As well as increasing yields of rice varieties and expanding the areas under cultivation Vertical and horizontal increase in rice production
