When asked about growth plans for the next three years, a lot more respondents (42%) revealed that they planned to grow by expanding within the same sector of their current commercial operations. The SMEs willing to expand within their sector reflect their belief in the potential for growth within their core operations and capabilities. The remaining 56% revealed that they were planning to expand across other sectors that comprised: Agriculture (8%), Technology (8%), Manufacturing (7%), Food & Beverages (7%), Consulting (6%), Retail trade (5%), Real estate (4%), Finance & business services (4%), Education (3%). About 2% of businesses surveyed stated that they weren't planning on expanding at all in the period under review. June 2020 45
