Regulatory project spend increased 83% from FY22 as a result of a number of Technology
projects. This includes work on end-to-end capital and liquidity transformation and
ongoing remediation projects
Business as usual (BAU) spend increased 28% from FY22 driven by regulatory projects
being completed and moved to BAU functions, increased employment costs, together
with increased expectations from the external environment including regulators globally
The increase in total technology spend is due to continued growth in business driven
initiatives to drive efficiencies and support revenue growth as well as the focus on
regulatory and compliance initiatives
