Audit opinion GOVERNMENT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA Auditor General INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S REPORT 2023 Department of Health To the Parliament of Western Australia Report on the audit of the financial statements Opinion I have audited the financial statements of the Department of Health (Department) which comprise: the Statement of Financial Position at 30 June 2023, and the Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Changes in Equity and Statement of Cash Flows for the year then ended Administered schedules comprising the Administered assets and liabilities at 30 June 2023 and the Administered income and expenses by service for the year then ended • Notes comprising a summary of significant accounting policies and other explanatory information. In my opinion, the financial statements are: based on proper accounts and present fairly, in all material respects, the operating results and cash flows of the Department of Health for the year ended 30 June 2023 and the financial position at the end of that period in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards, the Financial Management Act 2006 and the Treasurer's Instructions. Basis for opinion I conducted my audit in accordance with the Australian Auditing Standards. My responsibilities under those standards are further described in the Auditor's responsibilities for the audit of the financial statements section of my report. I believe that the audit evidence I have obtained is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for my opinion.
