☐ Tectonically, Gundih area is part of the back arc basin of Java: many hydrocarbon reservoirs are located. Two of the most famous reservoirs are Oligo-Miocene clastic and carbonate of Kujung Formation (deeper reservoirs) and Miocene sandstone of Ngrayong Formation (shallower reservoirs). The shallow reservoirs of Ngrayong Formation were determined: ✓ to improve new techniques for CO2 injection monitoring technologies in shallow reservoirs. ✓ the total cost of the pilot would be lower in a shallow reservoir.
