The Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) is a public, government company, 99.85% of its shares are government-owned and traded on the Tel-Aviv and Singapore stock exchange. Company activities include: generation; transmission, transformation, distribution, supply and sale of electricity. The IEC maintains and operates 17 power stations consisting of 63 generating units: 18 steam-fueled and 45 gas turbines, of which 11 operate as combined-cycle units. By the end of 2014, IEC's installed capacity totaled 14,000 MW. The Company supplies reliable and high-quality electricity, complies with leading service standards, maintaining economic, commercial, and environmental principles. IEC currently employs 13,000 workers and provides service to 2.56M homes.
