The company is engaged in the exploration, production, processing and sale of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons and has twenty years of experience in the Russian oil and gas industry. It is one of the world's five largest public oil and gas companies by the volume of proven gas reserves, amounting to 12.8 billion barrels of oil equivalent (as of the end of 2015). The company supplies gas to 33 regions in Russia. The main regions for the sale of natural gas (with a volume of more than 1 billion cubic meters per year for each region) are the Chelyabinsk region, the Perm Territory, the Stalingrad Territory, the Moscow Region and the Kostroma Region, the Orenburg-Osijek Region, the Hanov-Hanovsk Iron and Steel Complex, the Akron-Uzhdovsk-Thinovsk region, which together with the Stalingrad-Tradovsk District develops the world's most reliable and stable route for the production of natural gas.
