PTC India Ltd., an initiative of the Government of India through Ministry of Power, is promoted by the Government of India through four Central PSUs namely, NTPC, Power Grid, PFC and NHPC. PTC, with revenue of INR 13,614 Crores and trading volumes reaching 42,383 MUs (FY 2015-16), is a pioneer in electricity trading in the country and consistently commands majority of short-term market share, thus maintaining market leadership. PTC is also facilitating cross border trading transactions with neighboring countries-Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
