Cannot deviate from designated route. Follows rules to weather conditions or road work. Movement of a permitted vehicle is prohibited when: visibility is reduced to less than 2/10 of one mile; the road surface is hazardous due to weather conditions, such as rain, ice, sleet, or snow; or highway maintenance or construction work is being performed. Daylight and night movement restrictions. An oversize permitted vehicle may be moved only during daylight hours. A permitted vehicle that is overweight but not oversize may be moved at any time. The driver can't deviate from those routes. To avoid citations/fines always try to buy the route closest to your destination. Weight must be distributed correctly and efficiently across all axles of your vehicle. The maximum amount of weight is 125,000 pounds or no more than the legal Mexican peso limit. Certified scale ticket must have the same information as on the weight on permit. The certified weight scale has to be purchased for each load. You can't use the same certified weight scale ticket for another load. Remember! You can't add more weight to the load after the permits have been generated because if the driver is stopped by DPS, they will be fined. When requesting a permit, you must ensure that all information entered is correct.
