Progress after the 1st Review Mission About 1st "Application” submitted on 21st Dec. 2021 ➤ After the 1st review mission, NRA continued the examination of "Application" ➤ When NRA secretariat prepared the draft review results document, NRA secretariat reported to the NRA Commission for their discussion and consideration at open meeting. Then NRA solicited public comments on the draft result of the review and considered whether the submitted comments should be reflected. ✓ Public comments done from 19 May 2022 to 17 June 2022 (30 days) ✓ The number of submitted comments were 670 (Total number of comments were 1233) After considering those comments, NRA concluded that the "Application" satisfies the relevant items of the Regulatory Requirements and approved the "Application". After the approval of "Application", NRA has explained our confirmation points and results during the examination and review process to local stakeholders, neighboring countries. 3#53. Future Schedule About 2nd "Application" submitted on 14th Nov. 2022 After the submission of 2nd "Application", NRA started examination at the Review Meeting which is open to the public. <After the draft results of the review is reported to the NRA Commission and discussed...> NRA will solicit public comments on the draft results in the same way as 1st "Application". 4#64. Answer to the comment from TF At the public comment process, NRA explained that there are many issues which are important for risk reduction of decommissioning, e.g., spent fuel removal, handle of secondary water treatment waste, etc.. Therefore, storage of ALPS treated water is not effective for risk reduction of decommissioning. LO 5#7Ref.
