The vegetation/forest are classified under 06 major categories viz. tropical, subtropical, temperate, subalpine and alpine vegetation, secondary forest and aquatic vegetation; each comprising subtypes primarily based on altitude and climate change The state has amazingly rich avifauna with over 650 bird species.
