The subsidy is the portion of the financing paid by the Union through the housing
program for families that fall within income bands 1 and 2.
With the aim of reducing the down payment for financing and expanding their
purchasing capacity, a new subsidy ceiling was approved by the FGTS Board of
Trustees in June 2023, increasing from R$ 47,500 to up to R$ 55,000.
