UPDATE ON CLUSTERS Hyderabad Pharma City ⚫ Hyderabad Pharma City is envisaged as the world's largest integrated pharma cluster spread over approx 19,333 acres. The cluster has been recognized as National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) by Government of India, given its national and international importance The project will generate an investment of Rs. 64,000 Crores and will create 5,60,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. A World-class life sciences university is being established as part of the cluster Genome Valley Genome Valley, the largest R&D and clean manufacturing cluster in India, is gaining traction as the "Vaccine Capital of the world". Built over 1200 acres in three phases, more land is being added to the cluster along with more ready built labspace (more than 2 Million square foot) Genome Valley houses more than 200 companies with a scientific workforce of about 15,000 professionals The cluster is home to three of India's largest vaccine manufacturers, namely Bharat Biotech, Biological E and Indian Immunologicals. Shantha Biotech is located close to Genome Valley. In line with Government of India's vision to build USD 150 Bn bioeconomy - State is building B-Hub, which will be a scale-up manufacturing facility, which will be housed in Genome Valley Country's largest testing facility called National Animal Resource Facility for BioMedical Research is being set up in Genome Valley by ICMR, Government of India in partnership with the State Government Medical Devices Park Medical Devices Park, launched in 2017, continues to be the destination- of-choice for leading medical devices companies in the country Spread across 302 acres, 105 acres have already been allotted (more than 60 percent of the allottable land) to 40 companies. Some of these companies have already started commercial production and many of them are lined up for commencement by end of this year. Total investment envisaged for the park is INR 1200 crores and total employment being 6700 people The park will house Asia's largest Stent manufacturing facility established by Sahajanand Medical Technologies Global medical devices major Medtronic had announced one of their biggest investments - USD 170 Mn globally last year to establish its largest innovation and engineering center in Hyderabad.
