Environmental Results - Controlled
Toll Roads (Lamsa, CLN, Cart e Via 040)
(GRI Standards 103-1, 103-2, 103-3,
302-1, 303-1, 305-1, 305-2, 306-2)
The reduction in water consumption in 2019
occurred on all highways controlled by Invepar,
due to the expanding monitoring and maintenance
of infrastructure and raising awareness among
employees and third parties. A prominent action
was the installation of volume controls on of Lamsa
bathroom taps in 2018, with positive results in 2019.
In 2019, no hazardous waste generated over
and above the projections was produced, which
justifies the reduction over the year. For non-
hazardous waste, the significant variation reflects
the control on Via 040 of milling tool donations,
which started in the 4th quarter of 2018 and lasted
throughout 2019, a period of twelve months.
It is worth mentioning the reduction in the
amount of waste sent to landfills at Cart, through
partnerships established with Recyclable
and Reusable Materials Cooperatives.
The reduction in direct emissions (Scope 1) verified
in 2019 is mainly related to the vegetation removal
carried out in 2018 on Via 040 to improve the use of
the highway, which did not occur in 2019. The slight
reduction in indirect emissions (Scope 2) is justified
by the lower energy consumption on highways, due
to the continuity of the project to change fluorescent
lamps for LED lamps. The slight increase in energy
consumption in the organization in 2019 related to
electricity and fuels, is mainly due to the increase
in fuel consumption seen at Cart and Lamsa. Both
companies had internal services previously provided
by third parties, seeing an expansion in their fleets.
