Against the backdrop of Covid-19, growth in energy consumption is expected to slowdown in 2020, likely lower than latest available forecast made by EAC in 2019. Despite the impact of Covid-19 on the overall economy, however, the Cambodian government has vowed to continue implementing infrastructure projects, which is critical in supporting long term economic growth.
