The requirements for students is that they must . be South Dakota residents; attend any of South Dakota's public or private postsecondary institutions that offer a baccalaureate degree; maintain a GPA of 2.5; graduate within five years; and live and work in South Dakota for three years after graduation. If pledge is not fulfilled by student, the scholarship becomes an interest-bearing loan.
