Production from Wassa Main Pit is going to cease in early 2018 as Wassa becomes an underground-only operation, focusing on higher grade, higher margin ore. They are labelled as 'S1, S2, S3...', representing Stope 1, Stope 2, Stope 3... GOLDEN ST⭑R#16Day 2: Prestea Operations In Stope 2 the group stand in the Alimak nest, close to the bottom of the fully developed raise. In Stope 3 they watch an Alimak leave the nest and climb up into the raise.
